A little about me
My name is Charity, I'm 18 years old, and currently living in SoCal. I'm half Korean half American and have lived in Korea for most of my life. One of my biggest flexes is that I'm bilingual :3
I have a passion for creating content and Instagram is a massive part of my life. A lot of my time is spent emailing brands, creating content for brands, and connecting with people through social media. My goal is to share some of my knowledge with the world so that anyone can experience the amazing parts that come with social media, all while keeping a healthy balance and staying safe.
I can't wait to share and walk you through the little tips and tricks I've picked up during my journey as a small social media influencer.
The start of my social media journey
I began social media in 2016, starting with YouTube and creating an Instagram account soon after. I uploaded vlogs, challenges, tutorials, and random things until I grew my YouTube following to around 1.1k subscribers. All of those videos have now been privated, but if you would like to check out a couple choice videos that I still have as public, here's the link.

After hitting 1k subscribers on YouTube, I decided I wanted to grow a bigger following on Instagram. I had around 500 followers. To get my numbers up, I began using Instagram bots, gain trains, follow for follow, and other "gaining strategies" that were popular during that time.
Using Instagram bots for likes and follows was the worst decision I ever made for my account. I was temporarily banned for the use of third party apps, and I can't describe the anxiety I felt when I got the notification. I thought my account would be permanently deleted, but fortunately they were just warning me not to do it again. That's when I learned that if you use third party apps for likes and followers, Instagram will mark your account as inauthentic/spam.
You might be asking, "If not bots, how do I gain more followers and likes?"
In this first series, I'm going to teach you real strategies on how to grow your Instagram audience in the most authentic way possible. It's not an overnight trick, but with some time and hard work, you are guaranteed to see those numbers go up.
